Cheap Getaways on Runways: Daytona Beach It's still called the "world's most famous beach," so why not check it out this spring? Sure, it might be kind of cheesy to actually spend spring break in Daytona, but hey, at least you can say you did it! It is a great beach, with lots of hotels to choose from that are right on the board walk. To learn more, visit the Daytona Beach visitors' web site: Getting There on Runways: Runways offers four daily round trips from Jacksonville Beach, Jacksonville International Airport, and Gainesville (and one daily round trip from Baldwin and Macclenny) to Orlando International Airport, and alight at the "A" terminal. At Orlando International, go to Level 1, Ground Transportation on the "A" side of the terminal, to bay A15, and transfer to DOTS, the Daytona-Orlando Transit Service.
