Travel Tips At Runways, we want you to fully enjoy your experience with us. We’ve listed several tips for you to make sure everything goes smoothly. Remember, if there is anything we can do to make your trip more enjoyable, please ask your attendant when you board. Arriving at the Airport If traveling with Runways to connect to a departing flight, Runways strongly recommends choosing one of our trips that arrives at least one hour prior to your connecting domestic flight's scheduled departure, and at least two hours prior to your connecting international flight's scheduled departure. The amount of time for airline check in and airport security screening can vary, and generally it is quicker traveling through Jacksonville International Airport than Orlando International Airport. These times can vary greatly by day and even by time of day. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) provides estimates in how long you may have to wait in line at each airport. Please visit http://waittime.tsa.dhs.gov to receive the latest updates. In the rare event that your Runways' trip is significantly delayed in arriving at your airport (we are nearly always within 10 minutes of our published schedule), Runways will do everything possible to ensure you make your scheduled flight, or assist you in being re-accommodated on another later flight with your airline. However, Runways will only provide this assistance if your domestic flight is scheduled to depart no less than 60 minutes after our scheduled arrival, or if your international flight is scheduled to depart no less than two hours after our scheduled arrival. Baggage Runways is only able to accept carry-on baggage. Your carry on baggage is limited to two pieces per guest, plus a personal item such as a purse, briefcase, laptop, small backpack, diaper bag or camera case. The personal item cannot exceed total overall dimensions of 36 inches, and the other items of baggage cannot exceed the following maximum dimensions: 28 inches by 22 inches by 14 inches. Baggage Shipping Have more baggage than Runways' carry-on limits allow? We're happy to refer you to Baggage Quest, who can pick up your luggage in advance of your trip and ship it to your destination. Please visit Baggage Shipping for more information. Boarding Please arrive at your station stop approximately 10 minutes prior to the scheduled departure. Once the vehicle arrives, please have your ticket or reservation confirmation available, along with your photo identification, for your attendant to board. Your attendant will assist you with any luggage, and direct you to your seat. If you did not pre-pay for your reservation, please have your Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express ready for the attendant to charge your fare. Sorry, we cannot accept cash or checks on board. Late Connecting Flight Runways strives to operate all of its trips on time. Unfortunately this means that we rarely can hold a trip for a guest's late arriving airline flight at Jacksonville International Airport or Orlando International Airport. However, we work hard not to leave any of our guests stranded. Therefore, we will automatically change your reservation, at no charge, to the next available Runways' departure in the event that your flight is late. To assist us, please be certain to include your airline and flight number arriving at either Jacksonville or Orlando so that we can check your flight's status before our trip departs, and can re-accommodate you on a later Runways' trip. Lost and Found We hope that you will remember to check around your seat and the luggage racks for all of your personal belongings when you leave us, but if you miss something, we will do our best to return it to you. As soon as you realize you left something on board, please call us at (800) 5RUNWAY (that's 1-800-578-6929) and let us know the date and Runways' trip number you traveled, and provide us with a complete description of the item you believe you left behind. We will do whatever we can to locate the item for you and return it to you. Please remember that Runways is not responsible for any of your personal belongings, so be sure to double check around your seat and luggage racks for everything you brought on board before you leave. Not Connecting to an Airline? Runways hopes that you find our service so convenient and comfortable that you will choose us for your travels throughout North and Central Florida, and not just to reach an airport to connect to a flight. You are most welcome to travel with us between any of our destinations, including Jacksonville and Orlando International Airports, and never connect to an airline. When you make your reservation with us, just leave the airline information blank or choose "Not Flying". Seating Please sit in your assigned seat, and keep the seat next to you free from any baggage or personal belongings as another passenger may need it. Runways suggests that you fasten your seat belt and keep it on throughout your trip with us. Tipping If you are pleased with the service you receive on your trip, we suggest providing a gratuity to your attendant. You will find an envelope to leave it in the seat back pocket in front of you. A typical tip is $2 per bag per passenger. |
